SAJITH ANSAR, CEO
Sajith Ansar is the founder and CEO of The Idea Spice Group – with offices in Dubai, Mumbai , Bahrain, Chennai and Bangalore .Sajith studied Industrial Design at NID , Asia’s premiere Design School.
Soon after graduating, he joined Core Emballage – a specialized packaging firm. Within a short period of time, he was promoted to the head of the design department. During his tenure at Core, he was also sent for a specialized management course at IIM – Ahmedabad, one of Asia’s top Management Institutes.
Struck by the “I want to make it big” bug, Sajith started Idea Spice in 2002. Within a short span, he has arrived and actually made it big! Idea Spice has an enviable reputation for its quality of design and professionalism. With offices in India and Dubai, it is on its way to become a truly global brand and design firm. With an equal expertise in design and brand strategy, Sajith has over 15 years of experience in helping build successful organizations. He has worked across a diverse range of sectors and scales – in creative and business consultancy roles. From government organizations such as The DSF( Dubai Shopping Festival) Committee to HSBC, Sajith has built a strong network of clients and stakeholders.
Sajith regularly delivers lectures at IIM Ahmedabad, NID and EMDI. He has the hunger to keep the company growing in related fields like retail, education, CSR.
He was the inventor of the Idea Spice trademark coffee and continues to hand over this tradition to every new member of Idea Spice. Another characteristic trademark? Behind the all serious façade of business and work, lies the source of some of the corniest one liners that can’t help but make you laugh!
SAURAV ROY, Director
Saurav Roy a.k.a. Roy( he gave up his first name because of horrible mispronunciations!) heads the India operations for Idea Spice. Previously, he was the Creative Director for Idea Spice – Dubai and has been a part of the organization since its inception. A graduate of the National Institute of Design, he specialized in graphic design. With a specialized focus on corporate identity, Roy has worked across numerous projects as both the designer and the creative director.In 2008, he moved from Dubai to head the India operations, where he is responsible for implementing the global marketing and business strategy.
With a keen interest in business strategy models, Roy is now currently involved in using design to create more profitable and innovative business models.
Roy is calm and composed most often. But don’t fall for that! Every now and then , he will shock you with sudden out of the world acts of insanity!
INDIA TEAM
SHIPRA BHARGAVA , Design Manager
A degree in Accessory design from NIFT and a PG degree in Strategic Design Management from NID makes Shipra ideal to blend design & management aspects well at Ideaspice as a design manager. She is involved with research, strategy, project management, business development & marketing .Her past experience as a designer has made her adept at handling projects independently. A word of caution , dont let her petite frame mislead you, she is a dynamite!
SANA RAO, Designer
Sana realised she had to get into a field related to design, since she spent most of her boring school classes, bunking in the sick room and drawing on various surfaces. Somewhere during her stint at NID, she developed a liking for writing soupy and vague poetry and so she wants to be a ‘hardbound-parchment-smelling-Garamond-studded’ book in her next life. Sana could eat the ‘a’ of Helvetica Neue bold and thinks that water colours are yummy, and after she is done with all that, she intends to settle down in Kerala and illustrate books on magical realism.
SANTOSH PARDALE
Santosh brings about the much needed everyday office supervision at Idea Spice . Numbers are second nature to him and he is the man who ensures all accounting work is in place. We think , his innate sense of humor and patience makes him bear with all our antics day after day….
RAJESH
An incredible multi-tasker- when you think of Rajesh , the trademark mug of hot and freshly brewed coffee is not far behind! The silent and quiet observer has quite a sense of humor and will surprise you with his witty remarks every now and then!
DUBAI TEAM
RAHUL SOLANKI, Designer
Rahul is the zen monk of Idea Spice. He is the one who walks over water when design problems are posted. He solves the impossible and makes giant strides growing as a designer every single day. Equally comfortable converting a 50000 sqft building to a hospital as he is with a piece of paper to origami, he is our design hitman. Armed with a photographic memory and a messy desk he demolishes complex design problems quietly. His hunger for bad jokes are fed off the net and once a week he fires one at everyone!
MUGDHA KADAM, Designer
Mugdha is a juggler. She has the ability to handle a barrage of tasks and projects without breaking a sweat and yet giving equal devotion to each design. She has sprinted from the starting block ever since she joined never slowing down. She laughs encouragingly at every bad joke thrown around the office never taking her concentration off the design. She is the calm balance to the office madness and frenzy.
RASHID MUTHU
The rock of gibraltar. He is man who is so silent and focused on his work that hell breaks lose when he takes a vacation. Ever smiling and quiet, he is the man when you have a big battle on your hands. Rashid handles the complex production, artwork and layouts that no one else dares. Just married now, his smile is now always a grin!
RIJEESH
The finance man. Rijeesh has a penchant to polish off his work and have time for himself. He’s so organized that his jobs to do is cleared before its given. He’s the background man, who makes sure everything works smoothly. Also a trained designer, but never shows it for the fear of adding to his job list! Rijeesh is the pillar of Idea Spice.
NASEER
He is all rounder of Idea Spice. Naseer is the centre forward, goalie and defense. He handles admin work, bank papers, government papers, does deliveries,makes great coffee, collects cheques, handles supplies, cleans, checks our arabic copy and drives us around. His smile is enough to diffuse any stress of work.
